Aultman Hospital has been ranked as one of the best regional hospitals in Ohio for 2021-22 by U.S. News & World Report. The annual U.S. News rankings are designed to assist patients and their doctors in making informed decisions about where to receive care for challenging health conditions or for common elective procedures. Aultman Hospital was ranked 11th in the state of Ohio. (2021)
Get With The Guidelines® Target: Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award
Aultman Hospital has received the 2020 American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines® Target: Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award. In addition, Aultman received recognition on the Target: Stroke Honor Roll. Aultman Hospital is a part of an elite group of hospitals recognized by the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association. The award recognizes Aultman Hospital’s commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of stroke care by ensuring that every stroke patient receives treatment according to nationally accepted recommendations and standards. Chest Pain – MI Registry Platinum Performance Achievement Award
For the ninth consecutive year, Aultman Hospital has received the American College of Cardiology’s NCDR Chest Pain ̶ MI Registry Platinum Performance Achievement Award. Aultman is one of only 140 hospitals nationwide to receive this honor in 2020. The award recognizes Aultman’s commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of care for heart attack patients and signifies that Aultman has reached an aggressive goal of treating these patients to standard levels of care as outlined by the American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association clinical guidelines and recommendations. Mission: Lifeline® Gold Plus Receiving Quality Achievement Award
Aultman Hospital has received the Mission: Lifeline® Gold Plus Receiving Quality Achievement Award for implementing specific quality improvement measures outlined by the American Heart Association for the treatment of patients who suffer severe heart attacks. The award signifies Aultman’s commitment to guideline adherence and quality improvement for the STEMI patient population and places Aultman in an elite group of hospitals recognized by the American Heart Association. For the third year in a row, Aultman Health Foundation achieved gold level recognition in the American Heart Association's Workplace Health Achievement Index. The Index uses science-based best practices to evaluate the overall quality and comprehensiveness of workplace health programs. The American Heart Association has defined best practices for employers to use to build a culture of health for their employees in the workplace. The American Heart Association’s Workplace Health Achievement Index measures the extent to which the company has implemented those workplace health best practices. Aultman was recognized for taking significant steps to build a culture of health in the workplace. (2020)

Aultman is proud to be accredited by The Joint Commission, which is the national accrediting body for hospitals and other health care delivery organizations. The Joint Commission mission is to continuously improve the safety and quality of care provided to the public through the provision of health care accreditation and related services that support performance improvement in health care organizations.
Magnet Designation
In 2020, Aultman Hospital received recognition for the fourth time from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Magnet Recognition Program® for nursing excellence. Magnet recognition is an achievement shared by only 7 percent of hospitals in the nation. Aultman first achieved Magnet status in 2006 and remains the only Magnet-designated organization in Stark County.
National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC)
The Aultman Cancer Center recently received accreditation from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC). The NAPBC is part of the American College of Surgeons and is focused on breast health and dedicated to the improvement of quality outcomes of patients with diseases of the breast through evidence-based standards and patient and professional education. We have been NAPBC-accredited since 2011 and reached all of the accreditation standards during our 2017 survey. This accreditation program is voluntary and demonstrates our commitment to breast care at Aultman Hospital.
Gold Seal of Approval - Recertified for Stroke
Aultman Hospital recently received the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® and the American Stroke Association’s Heart-Check mark for Primary Stroke Certification. In 2009, we were the first hospital in Stark County to earn certification – and the 13th in the state of Ohio. Joint Commission standards are developed in consultation with health care experts and providers, measurement experts and patients. Joint Commission reviewers also conducted on-site observations and interviews. The Aultman Stroke program achieved re-certification by providing the critical elements needed for long-term success in improving stroke outcomes.

Aultman has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® Certification for Total Hip Replacement and Total Knee Replacement. To earn this prestigious Joint Commission certification, which is a symbol of high-quality care and a commitment to providing safe and effective patient care, Aultman underwent a rigorous on-site review in which Joint Commission experts evaluated compliance with national disease-specific care standards, as well as with hip- and knee-specific requirements.
Verified by the American College of Surgeons, Level II Adult Trauma Center
The American College of Surgeons has verified Aultman as a Level II Trauma Center, accredited through October of 2023, and verified to meet the standards for excellence in trauma care. As a Level II facility, Aultman provides definitive care for injured patients and is committed to trauma education and prevention. (2021)
